well things are going well as of right now. i have 26 pages flushed out so far which has been done in less than a month. oh and did i mention that i lost all the pages i had been working on right before i left for california? oh well i did. i was taking the bus home late one night and forgot i put my book (the one that had my work in it) next to me. so when i got off the bus i didnt even realize i didnt have it. it wasnt till the next day, on my way to work that i noticed. i was planning on working on some pages, but then noticed the book wasnt in my bag, which was when i remembered where i left it. i called the lost and found for that bus's route but no one turned it in. that really sucked, but luckily i only had 9 pages flushed out at that time. losing the original pages really got me in the spirit to produce pages again, because i was slacking up till that point. i got the pages i had lost done again before leaving for california, then tweaked and added pages while there, and now im filling in spaces between pages. i find that jumping around, doing particular pages that i feel inspired to do, then going back and connecting pages works a lot better than working in a linear process.

so act 1 is more than half way done. im shooting for 45 pages, but it may go to 50, in which case i am half way there. though when i get through the initial introduction of the story i think i will go a lot faster. ive been trying to keep it familiar with the anime and manga, but do it a bit different, but when act 1 is over i'll have more artistic liberty with the material. no worries however, it will not be out there so much that it seems like a totally different piece of work, its just an updated style, new stories, and a more modern take on the story we all know and love.

when i have the first few chapters done (hopefully ending with mars' introduction) i want to put them in a self published graphic novel and sell them at anime conventions. i'll keep you all updated, and hopefully my internet will be fixed soon. damn landlords! haha
